Job description
The appointee will join the Personalized Design & Fabrication Laboratory at Centre for Perceptual and Interactive Intelligence (CPII). The laboratory is directed by professors from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK).
- Research on one of the topics: AI-based human body shape capture and analysis, computational garment design, garment manipulation with robot-arms, and wearable applications
- Develop maintainable software for the research
- Author research papers or other technical documents
- Collaborate with teammates on related projects
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s / Master’s / PhD Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines
- Proficiency in Python or C++ is a must
- Experience in computer-aided design, computer graphics (geometry processing), robot simulation and control, and computer vision would be highly preferable
- Familiar with 3D modelling software (such as Blender) will be an advantage
- Good communication skills and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated character and good team player
- Appointment will initially be made on up to two-year contract commencing as soon as possible
- Immediate available is preferred
